CheckPointSpot continues to lead innovation in race technology with two important upgrades rolled out at the recent Cameron Ultra 2025.
✍️ Digital Signing to Reduce Paper Use
During race pack collection, runners completed their indemnity and waiver signing using iPads, significantly reducing the need for printed documents. This approach improves efficiency, shortens wait times, and supports more sustainable operations.
🤖 AI Facial Recognition for Podium Verification
To strengthen the integrity of race results, CheckPointSpot also implemented AI facial recognition to verify podium finishers.
Photos taken during race pack collection were used to ensure the rightful registered runner was recognized at the finish line — a key step toward fairer, more secure race outcomes.
“We’re constantly looking for ways to make race experiences smoother, more accurate, and more trusted. This is another step forward for organizers and participants alike,” said Roy Yeow, CTO of CheckPointSpot.
CheckPointSpot is committed to shaping the future of race technology across ASEAN with practical, scalable solutions.
